These maps are the product of a project designed to explore how many residential homes in Crow Wing County, Minnesota are listed as 'seasonal', and are therefore owned by residents whose primary address is outside of Minnesota. To do this, I was given property data that required extensive cleaning and reformatting. Four different primary owner address fields were used to create one zip code field using ArcGIS Pro's field calculator. This zip code field was used in the first map shown here to display the density of Crow Wing County property owners in Minnesota alongside a graph showing the number of property owners in different states. The second map shows seasonal properties where the building value is over $500,000 in a black-and-white format for cheap and easy printing.
