This project was aimed at exploring city data for the city of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, which is just northwest of Denver. For the first map, I wanted to explore the relationship between green space and zoning categories. To do this, I first had to download zoning data for Wheat Ridge. Then, I consolidated the dozens of granular zoning categories into 10 high-level categories based on the zoning documentation from Wheat Ridge's website to simplify them. Finally, park data was overlayed on the zoning data, revealing that it appears most of the green space in Wheat Ridge is near Residential 1 zoning areas. The second map is a simple map showing the location of the various public service facilities throughout the city.
