Remote Sensing Classification

Date Completed

July 2024

Skills Used

Google Earth Engine, remote sensing, random forest classification, machine learning, project design, presentation

The slides below provide a succinct overview of my final project for my Remote Sensing course taken over the summer of 2024. We were given very few restrictions for the scope and design of the project, so I wanted to choose something to test my Google Earth Engine coding ability and reinforce my machine learning classification experience. This project examines forest land cover change over a 30 year period in Okanogan County, WA, the largest county in WA by area, using random forest classification methods deployed on Landsat imagery collections.
